In my work – both in the actual making of it as well as in the final objects themselves – I aim to refocus our attention on the present moment and to provide a daily point of access to what Soetsu Yanagi calls the “Kingdom of Beauty”: a world in which our everyday lives are imbued with beauty and meaning through the regular use of simple objects made with integrity in the Folk Art tradition.
