I was born, raised in Taiwan and moved to the Bay Area in 2003. In 2014 I signed up for a pottery class at Sunnyvale Recreation Center and immediately fall in love with it; I have since been taking workshops and pottery classes. I find the process of creating a piece of pottery fascinating and therapeutic. Because of the loving for nature and plants, I like to make planters with different types of clay and stain to give the simple form an organic look and color. I also like to explore different techniques and clay types depending on the functionality of the piece, but I mostly use porcelain clay as it has the potential to stand out more when stain or sand is added.
